This project is located on Nan’ao Island in Shantou, Guangdong Province—a destination renowned as the “Hawaii of the East.” The client operates a distinctive island guesthouse there. The main structure is a two-story glass villa, but a surge in tourist numbers led to a shortage of guest rooms. To avoid the high costs associated with large-scale renovations, the client decided to utilize underused areas such as the rooftop and terraces. After extensive research and comparison, they selected five sets of our “Clear Star Domes”—comprising a 4.5-meter diameter unit for the bedroom and a 2.1-meter unit for the bathroom—thereby effectively expanding guest capacity with a low-investment solution.
